Jean Keene Monument

Generous Doners are donating funds to make it possible to create a lasting memorial in honor of Jean Keene. The location of the monument is to be determined, but will be at the end of the spit, either on City property or at Land’s End.

Funds will be deposited with Homer Council on the Arts, who will commission the piece, in order to help qualify donations as tax deductible. The Arts Council will act as custodian of the funds and ensure the procurement process conforms to City guidelines.

Proposals will be solicited from artists consistent with a budget and artistic parameters developed by Jean's family, friends and a committee of the Homer Council on the Arts.

If the checks are made out to HCOA, mail to: Homer Council on the Arts, 355 W. Pioneer Ave, Homer. If checks are made out to JK Memorial Fund, deposit to Wells Fargo Acct. #2527103044 at a branch office OR mail directly to: Wells Fargo, Homer Branch, 88 Sterling Hwy, Homer AK 99603.
