Kenai Area White Water Rafting
Guided or on your own, there are lots of float trips and rafting opportunities on the Kenai Peninsula. For big, fast water, nothing beats Six Mile. For scenery and calm water, try twenty Mile or Placer River. Further south, the Kenai River and Kasilof are popular, especially when combined with fishing excursions.
There are several raft and kayak outfitters in Anchorage, and their pricing is reasonable.
Float the most famous fresh water river in Alaska, the Kenai River. Wildlife is abundant on the shoreline of the river where moose, bear, waterfowl and beaver enjoy the vastness of this amazing ecosystem. A float trip on the Kenai is a great family activity for all ages and the river provides unparalleled fishing opportunities.
We recommend you carry a daypack with sun tan lotion, camera, binocular, light rain gear, snacks, bottled water, gloves, hat and first aid kit.
