Seward Guided Fresh Water Fly Fishing

The Kenai Peninsula is a mecca for fly fishing enthusiasts. Seward is right in the middle of some of the best fly fishing in the world. Whether you are a novice seeking wide, slow moving water and lake systems, or an experienced angler, there are plenty of excellent opportunities to test your light line and fly casting skills. The freshwater lakes, streams and rivers around Seward and the surrounding Chugach National Forest offer fantastic opportunities to catch King, Red and Silver Salmon, Rainbow and Dolly Varden Trout, Grayling and Arctic Char. Seward is one hour from the famous Russian River, a fly-only Sockeye and trout fishery that tends to get a little crowded at the peak of the run. Combine fly-fishing with an Upper Kenai River Float trip (no motorized boats allowed) to double your fun. Quartz Creek, Crescent , Carter or Upper Trail Lakes are productive streams.  Little Johnston Lake is a great fly-out destination for Silvers or hike into great trout fishing at the Russian River Falls or Vaught Lake.  You can also fly out of Moose Pass into Paradise, Russian or Johnson lakes and catch large Arctic Grayling.
